“HORNTAIL SINGLE” Hand Forged Single Wrought Iron Wall Light. This light is produced in satin black or with a gorgeous burnished steel and beeswax finish. Not only do we make the lights but we also make the beeswax. Visitors to our workshop are more than welcome to meet the bees, clothing permitted, and maybe even take away some beautiful Welsh honey. (may attract additional costs.)
This particular lamp has the following dimensions: Overall height: 300mm Overall width: 160mm Projection from wall: 185mm The “Horntail” is fitted with an 85mm candle tube as standard and a Fleur De Lys backplate. When we say ‘standard’ we are of course pulling your leg. NOTHING is standard at the ShearStar workshop. All of our products are made in the traditional way out of stocky, quality materials and therefore cannot be compared to cheap machine-made products with spot-welded fabrication, cheap, thin, powder coatings and absolutely no individuality. Our items are manufactured to a standard and that standard dictates the price. However, because every single light is hand-made we can alter them to suit your individual requirements and usually at no extra cost. “HORNTAIL” Hand Forged Wrought Iron Floor Lamp. This is the matching floor light to our "Horntail" Wall Lights. When we say “matching” we are of course pulling your leg. It looks like Tim Burton dreamt of a skeletal dragon losing a fight with Edward Scissorhands but we still love the result. Not recommended for small children or those of a nervous disposition. Ideal for snagging tights and cardies mind... This light is produced in satin black, black vinyl or with a burnished steel and beeswax finish. This particular lamp has the following dimensions: Overall height: 1600mm Overall width: 350mm The “Horntail” is fitted with an antique brass, brass or nickel switched B22 Lampholder as standard. Whether you like our concepts or prefer to design your own we're just waiting for your enquiry. Wall lights can be supplied with candle tubes as shown or with fittings suitable for small shades. We can even supply them non-electrified suitable for proper candles. Similarly standard lamps can have bespoke foot and head details to suit your requirements. Sometimes the choice can be bewildering but we can quickly mock-up a CAD drawing of options to allow you an excellent idea of the finished light.

Because we allow the client the flexibility to alter the designs we carry very little as stock items. Everything is handmade to order, whether it’s wall lights, chandeliers, curtain poles, floorlamps, table lamps, gates, railings, flagpole holders, Christmas tree holders, tree protectors, pond covers, hooks, brackets and more besides.. Handmade to order means that next day delivery is not an option until we’ve satisfactorily completed our time machine.
